FALL SOCCER

Fall Season begins September 9th for over-40 and Sept 12 for over-30 division.
=========================================================

Looking for New Players and Teams: Our over-30 division has 13 teams and is looking to expand so that we can divide into two divisions (A and B based on rankings). We will be registering both teams and individual players for 9 or 10 games this Fall. We are also looking for over-40 players and teams to expand our over-40 division from 8 teams to 10 in the Fall.

Update: We have 9 confirmed teams for over-40 on Thursday nights. 13 confirmed teams for over-30 on Sunday mornings. Mercer County Park fields 1 and 2 are being seeded/watered and are CLOSED for early September. We are looking for alternate fields for over-40 division for first three weeks. We will play on fields 4 and 5 for over-30 division. Fields 1 and 2 will be available starting Sept 26th.

Schedule: Will be posted by Monday noon of Labor Day. Hold up is primarily finding alternate fields for first couple of weeks. This was totally unexpected.

PLAYER Registration: To register as a individual player, fill out and sign the attached form and send to the address indicated on the form along with your $100 check. This will secure your place on the candidate list for the new teams that are forming this Fall. Assignments will begin in mid to late August. It is recommended you confirm interest by email to info@mercermensoccer.net after you've mailed the form.

TEAM Registration: To register as a full squad, team managers must contact Kirk LeCompte at info@mercermensoccer.net with your name and phone number. If approved, you must send a tentative roster form (.xls) and a deposit check for $200 to secure your team's spot for Fall 2010. The team fee will be $1,200 and you will be responsible for your own jerseys. Each of your players must also fill out and sign the attached form and mail to the address indicated.

RETURNING teams (over-30 and over-40): Your deposit checks for $200 are due August 15. Full amount will be due by September 15. Please update your roster list and email it by September 7. Checks made out to MCAMSL and sent to Kirk LeCompte, 30 Springwood Dr, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648.

We look forward to having you and your teammates join our growing league!

Shin Guards no longer recommended, instead, they're REQUIRED. For you die hards who are still living in the 1970's (wearing tight shorts and ankle socks), it's time to buy some shin guards and proper socks, not to mention longer shorts. Buy two pair, and keep one set in the trunk so you're never caught without them.

Central New Jersey Adult Soccer League

NJ Mens SoccerWelcome to the website of the Mercer County Amateur Masters Soccer League (MCAMSL). We are an adult soccer league that plays competitive, outdoor, recreational soccer in Mercer County, New Jersey.

We have an over-30 division that plays Sunday mornings, and over-40 division that plays weeknights from September through November and from late March to early June. We also have an over-19 division  and over-30 division that plays weeknights in the summer. Format is 11 v 11 with two 40 minutes halves on full size soccer fields with professional referees. We are also known as Mercer Men's Soccer, even though several teams have women on the roster.

Although we draw players mostly from Mercer County, we welcome all players and teams willing to make the weekly trek. We are looking to expand our league with additional players, teams and divisions.

If Mercer County is too far South for you, check out the Tri-County Soccer League along the I-78 and I-287 corridors in NJ. If you are looking for something a little less competitive, try WWPSA Adult Rec League. If you are closer to Philadelphia, check out Casa Soccer. Also, see opportunities for indoor soccer and summer soccer.

League costs are split by teams as a whole. Jerseys are not purchased by the League, but by each team separately. Each season's fee is $1,200 per team for a 10 game season. A $200 deposit is required three weeks before the start date. Team fees include referee fees, field rentals, liability insurance, and other administrative expenses. If expenses exceed expectations, teams will be responsible for splitting the extra costs later in the season.

GOALKEEPERS

Over 30 Mens SoccerWe recognize that a good goalkeeper is hard to find and can be the difference between winning and losing, and as such, we've relaxed the age-restriction on keepers as follows:

  • Our Over-30 Division allows goalkeepers age 21 and over.

  • Our Over-40 Division allows goalkeepers age 30 and over.

FOR 20 YEAR OLDS

We currently offer an OPEN division for players age 19 and over during the Summer (June - August). For Fall, Winter, and Spring, we recommend the following:

END OF 2009/2010 FALL/SPRING OUTDOOR SEASON

Congrats to Mercer Americans for winning the Over-30 Spring Tournament. Congrats to WWPSA Wasps who won the regular season with no losses in the Spring season.

Congrats to Hopewell who bested Pennington in the finals of the Over-40 Spring Tournament and to Pennington for winning the Regular Season.

NJ Mens SoccerThe Board has decided to continue having 2 officials on the field for both divisions. The increased cost has been worth the better coverage for offsides infractions and fouls.

The incumbent officers were re-elected with Kirk LeCompte serving as Board President, Ben Letson as Treasurer, and Michael Donnelly as Secretary. Mark Cannulli and Chris Sullivan were named co-chairs of the Recruiting Committee and plan to organize an August recruiting session for potential new players in both divisions.

We owe a great deal of thanks to the many volunteers who keep this league going - especially the Board and the Captains. Their tireless, unpaid, often unseen efforts are equal to the their outstanding play on the field. Thanks!
